Do’s and Don’ts of Outdoor Advertising - Rock City Media

DO use few words, large Print, and legible fonts. Billboards are usually on main roads and highways so you don’t have a lot of time to get your point across. Highways have people traveling at high speeds and won’t have time to read a complicated message. Strive to keep the copy under (6) six words. Keep the words big — utilize the full width of the billboard whenever possible and use legible font such as Helvetica so people can easily read it.
