Do’s and Don’ts of Outdoor Advertising - Rock City Media


Restrictions -Every state has restrictions pertaining to outdoor advertising: -Vermont, Maine, Hawaii and Alaska prohibit the use of billboard ads. -The Highway Beautification Act (HBA) of 1965 called that billboards only be placed in heavy commercial and industrial areas. -Digital billboards are prohibited from applying animations or scrolling. -Light sensors must adjust surrounding lighting appropriate for the light conditions in relation of the billboard. -Follow industry code, and consider glare and other potentially hazardous complications.
